Due to the fast paced environment that we have, most people nowadays do not give much importance to the food that they eat. We tend to eat a lot of fast food and we are not aware that our colons are suffering. As part of our diet, we should be getting at least 5 servings of vegetables, fruits and grains.  We’re even considered lucky if we can have just one serving of these a day. As a result of these eating habits, our colons are lined with fecal plaques that are harmful to our bodies’ systems.

There are easy ways to cleanse the colon. The easiest way for a colon cleansing weight loss diet is to include more fiber in your everyday meals. Fruits, vegetables and grains are best sources of grains. To get ample fiber in your diet, you can take fiber supplements. 

There are colon cleansing kits that you can find mostly on the internet. There are many testimonials which will prove the effectiveness of the product. They do work because the main ingredients of these kits are psyllium husk which has very high fiber content.  Flax seeds are also good source of fiber. You can buy a whole flax seed and grind them. You can mix it in oatmeal if you would like. Flax seeds have omega3 which is good for the heart.

If you don’t have the time to monitor the contents of what you are eating, always remember to include fiber rich foods in your meal to atleast have a balance in your diet. By doing this you are not letting your colon pay the price.
